Hi all.

I thought I knew most things about a PC but obviously not as my new PC (custom built by another company) seems very slow as in 50FPS in COD Cold War. The specs are :-

Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™ i5 10-Core Processor i5-12600K (3.7GHz) 20MB Cache
MotherboardGIGABYTE Z690 GAMING X DDR5 (LGA1700, USB 3.2, PCIe 5.0) - ARGB Ready
Memory (RAM)32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 5200MHz (2 x 16GB)
Graphics Card8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3060 Ti - HDMI, DP, LHR
1st M.2 SSD Drive1TB SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 3500MB/R, 3300MB/W)
1st Storage Drive4TB Samsung 870 QVO 2.5" SSD, SATA 6Gb/s (up to 560MB/sR | 530MB/sW)
Power SupplyCORSAIR 750W CX-M Series™ SEMI-MODULAR 80 PLUS® BRONZE
Processor CoolingPCS FrostFlow 100 RGB V3 Series High Performance CPU Cooler
Thermal PasteARCTIC MX-4 EXTREME THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY COMPOUND
Extra Case Fans2x 120mm Black Case Fan
Operating SystemWindows 11 Home 64 Bit - inc. Single Licence [KUK-00003]
I've updated the graphics drivers etc. and have used the Intel 'Extreme Tuning' which overclocks to 4.7GHZ. I've checked the temperatures and everything is OK there, in fact as far as I can see everything is as it should be. Before I give up and go back to my old PC, any ideas as to what it can be? I've looked around the web and cannot find an answer that helps.

Doublecheck that the XMP profile is enabled for the memory.

Yes, what resolution and settings? 4K or 3440x1440 would possibly struggle a little with a 3060Ti, particularly at higher settings.

Is Ray Tracing turned on? Is DLSS on or off?

You need to measure yourself against something that is the same, or close to it, to see if everything is working properly. Have you tried any standard benchmarks?

Hi. XMP is enabled, resolution is 1280*1024. Ray tracing is off and DLSS is set to quality. CPU never gets above 60c and GPU 70c. Cinebench seems fine but 3Dmark seems a little off i.e. not how it should be. It also crashes on the ray tracing test and they can't tell me why.

1280x1024 should be really easy to run, but again, double check ray tracing and upscaling settings. Have you tested any other games?

Not the highest end power supply ever, it could be part of the problem. I would not think so though.

Shipping is always a concern. Try removing and re-inserting the GPU from its slot and its power cables.

Fire up GPU-Z and see if the card is giving any throttle reasons. (PerfCap)

You can try underclocking the GPU memory and core a little to see if that helps it. A GPU experiencing errors over and over but not crashing is a possibility.
