Greetings far more knowledgeable than I people.
I am building my first system mainly for video editing and other creative use. I have connected everything correctly I thought. After assembleing all parts I was able to boot and install windows 7 after much fiddeling with ram, and changing out a video card but now I am stuck on the Motherboard splash screen. I cannot get into bios or get any further. My pc is made of the following:
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B (6 sticks of this)
ASUS P6X58D-E LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor
Western Digital VelociRaptor WD6000HLHX 600GB 10000 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
GeForce GTS250 1GB 256 DDR3
After first getting windows loaded I was able to get a few programs loaded but when I installed a card reader and sound card 2 older 160 gb hard drives all hell broke loose and i ended up where I am now, stuck on the splash screen.

I have tried removing the cmos battery, resetting it using the little button on back and removing ram and trying it with one stick. Not sure where to go next does anyone have any ideas? If some one can help me fix this I would be so grateful as to send you a new egg gift cert or some token of my appreciation.

Thanks in advance for any consideration of my issue.
