If the past is any indication...no. This is classified as a "pro-sumer" card and not really intended for gaming, so the reference cooler should be sufficient. The 1080ti will likely be identical specs except for amount of VRAM and gimped on compute ability...but probably cost $400 less.

Nvidia dont allow customs on titan cards really. I know evga normally comes out with a watercooled titan so will maybe see this. But the reference cooler is more than sufficiant. I have mine currently stable at its top overclock of 2039mhz. Even out the box it runs fast but eith some tweaking and luck of silicon lottery you will never need some mosterous custom fan lump. Only thing is liquid cooling too loose fan noise if overclocking it to its limit.
