New to pc gaming is my set up ok

Hi every one, so i built my gaming pc abut 6 months ago, to be honest i feel like i shoud have done more research before (cause i have found a couple of mistakes so far) but basically I went based on what I saw on a couple of youtube videos, and the advice from the store guy, so i just decided to join this forum looking for some advise or making sure I'm ok with my set up, so here it is;

MOBO: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Processor: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Cpu cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Gpu: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB 100 Million Edition Video Card( will upgrade to 1080 soon)
Storage: Crucial BX100 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive(here's windows 10)
And
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Ps: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Case: NZXT S340 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case and recently added thus two of this to the front panel: Corsair Air Series AF120 Red 52.2 CFM 120mm Fan

So please let me know what do you guys think, anything should be changed? Is everything fine?

Well first time I placed the cpu cooler in a wrong direction, I recently noticed that I didn't have enough airflow, my gpu was reaching the 75c° (that's why I Added the front panel fans) , I haven't used my pc for long hours until last weekend (i was trying to get the most out of the x4 xp on bf4 lol) and there's where I noticed gpu's temp and the lack of airflow, so I was just thinking that maybe my lack of info could took me to the point of doing something wrong with the set up, so I'm just trying to be sure in a safe point before anything goes wrong, you know sometimes store guys are trying to sell you what's best for them, but I guess this guy was really trying to help me

Let me ask one more question. I'm looking to upgrade to the msi gtx 1080, (hopefully i could find a good deal during black friday) so, I think my power supply is enough and my processor as well am I right? should I upgrade something else? Cause I have seen reviews on my power supply saying that there could be better options for the price

Make sure your CPU cooler fan is attached on the right way so it is pushing air through the heatsink and towards the rear exhaust fan on your case (there will be an arrow on the fan to show which way the air is flowing). As for the GPU, if its heating up to much, download MSI Afterburner and see what the fan speed is at; it will default to auto so it will automatically go up and down in speed. But a lot of the time you will find it only on 30% or so when the card is under full load. You can manually adjust this to what ever you like. I'd put it on 50-60% or so and see what the temps do then.
You certainly need front intake fans and a rear or top exhaust so there is airflow in the case otherwise it will just be all hot air inside. Make sure your new fans are facing the correct way and are pulling in cool air from outside your case

Yes you will be fine to upgrade a 1080, your powersupply isnt the highest quailty one around but it still has a bronze rating. I dont know too much about power supplies myself, I think it will be fine and wouldnt change it unless you ran into issues. But it might be worth asking someone who knows a bit more. Some might say it only makes sense to pair a high end gpu with a high end PSU

What resolution are you playing at? If at 1080p a GTX 1080 would be a waste in my opinion and would opt for a 1070 instead.

Yes it's been placed that way after some research, the first time I did it it was throwing air down to the gpu, I thought i did it towards the top exaust, but it wasn't that way, now I have it just like picture, same as the front panel is taking air inside and I have top and rear exaust ( if could upload a pic i can show it but dont know how).

As fo resolution I'm playing on my tv a 65" vizio 4k ( I was playing on xbox before this and I really like big screens now since i built the pc haven't turn the xbox on in a while) that's why I'm looking for the 1080 I've read that it would give me more fps playing a 2016p i have to lower resolution on bf4 to 1080 to play ultra cause if i do 2016 i can only play medium getting 60 to 70 fps

Sounds like you have all the airflow sorted

Yeah if you want higher FPS on 4K you would need the GTX 1080

I have the msi gaming app I set it up to gaming mode when I'm about to play and keep the stats on the screen, so I can make sure everything is going well, since I placed the front fans I was able to keep it at about 65C° setting the front fans with the command center app, I got them to work at 60% when temperature reach 55c° and 90% if it reaches 70c°, i had the after burner app but never used it I'll see if I can set up the other two fans with it. I haven't been able to play for more than 2 hours since i got the fans (adulthood bills and responsabilities suck) but this weekend I'll try my best

Well thanks for taking the time to answer my questions, for the psu I guess I'll stay with the one I have, unless I find any issues (main reason cause I have big hands and cable management in small spaces is not funny at all) thanks for all the info
