Hi all,

This is my first time getting as big upgrade and a proper gaming pc. I am pretty new to the pc world and so there is lots I have yet to learn and understand. I love gaming and, basically, I want a strong pc that can handle any game I can throw at it with ease.
In addition, I use my computer everyday for drawing/art, so I need lots of storage.

Here are the specs I chose. Please let me know if this will all run properly, and if theres any changes or recommendations you’d like to give

Thanks in advance :)

An 11700k being cooled by a 120mm AIO cooler seems like a bad idea. For these types of coolers I don't see the point of anything smaller than 280mm unless it is some kind of small form factor thing.

Solution
Agree with above, the cooler looks very weak. Unless you need 4TB I would also get 1TB SSD instead of a 4TB HDD. A 512GB SSD for the main drive will fill up very quickly and you don’t want to fill an SSD >80%. I would also upgrade to a 750w/850w psu. While a 650w is just about enough having extra watts for future upgrades could be very useful.

Bearing in mind most my stuff will be saved on the HDD, the SSD is more for the operating system. All games I download will be put on the HDD, as well as all my art files. Is the 1TB SSD still necessary?

It looks like that case supports up to a 280mm AIO, I would step up to that. Even a 240mm is generally no better than an average air cooler.

I feel a HDD is really slow for a modern pc so only go for one if you know you need a lot of storage and speed does not matter. If my system I would drop the HDD and put that money into going with a 280mm AIO. I’d then install another SSD when budget allows.

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what AIO stands for  if we are talking about coolers still then the one I selected is 280w, if that is correct?

AIO or All in One is the type of water cooler you are choosing. You buy it as a complete all in one loop instead of separate parts(radiator/pump/reservoir). The H100i is a 240mm (2x120mm fans) and these perform similar to an average air cooler. With a 11700k I’d want a cooler that is above average, it’s a hot cpu. A 280mm (2x140mm) have noticeably improved cooling performance and should keep the 11700k temp under control at good temperatures.

Looks like you are ordering a NZXT prebuild.
You get to pick specs, that is good.
I do not much like aio coolers when a simple air cooler will do the job equally well.

Noctua maintains a suitability list of their air coolers for different processors.
Here is the list for a I7-11700K:
https://ncc.noctua.at/cpus/model/Intel-Core-i7-11700K-1284
As little as a NH-U12s will give you max performance.
