Hi, I'm currently looking for a gaming PC, and have found one with the following specs -

AMD Athlon II X4 880K 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Quad Core Processor
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 2GB Graphics Card
8GB of 1600MHz DDR3 Memory
1TB SATA3 6Gbps Hard Drive
Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64 Bit

Is this a good starting PC?

Price is £600 - this comes with 21" monitor & Keyboard/Mouse

Thank you

It is good.

Personally I would sooner try and find a G4560 DDR4 with the 1050 for that kind of price. It's good that it comes with a monitor and keyboard etc, but if you can get it for the same price, go for a G4560 build.

Edit: also depends on your usage, gaming, the G4560 will be much better. Editing, the 4 cores of the Athlon may be more beneficial.

It's an overall higher tier PC, (Not the highest) And the price all together is pretty decent too. This pc should be able to run some AAA Games at maybe not the highest but still decent frames. 1TB HDD should be more then enough space for you as well (SSD can have faster booting). If your willing to spend a few more bucks, then I would consider building a PC myself, as it can be quite cheaper. Look for 2nd hand gpus, they are about 100-150 dollars cheaper then their new conditions.

Anyways, this pc should be able to handle some high tier games and will probably run fine considering they are all new too. The price is overall worth it too.

Thank you both. Still abit confusing XD!

Another bundle is the following (again with monitor etc)

AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Six Core Processor
AMD Radeon RX 460 2GB Graphics Card
8GB of 1600MHz DDR3 Memory
120GB Solid State Drive
1TB SATA3 6Gbps Hard Drive
Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64 Bit

Would the extra £80 be worth it or would it be same scenario?

Thanks

Well everything is fine except the 880k. It's quite old (based on 5+ year old architecture) and is easily outmatched by cheaper intel alternatives like the g4560. Also I would get a gtx 1050ti as it's a much much better value than a 1050. Your secondary build suffers from the exact same problems.
