i have been messing around with some minor overclocking and i seem to be running stable but want other peoples input on my setup and my settings to make sure im not damaging anything, i am mostly concerned about my ram

here is my setup
ASUS P5B board
CORE 2 DUO e6300
A-DATA 2 X 512 ddr-800
BFG 7600GT OC
520WATT PS

the ram is running at 1000 (used to be 800)is this level unsafe for this ram, it seems to be running very stable. my processor is at 300 X 7 with a fsb of 1200 if that info is needed.

thanks this is one of my first posts on this forum and i hope to learn a lot.

use memtest86, dual prime95 to test your stability!
Why would you run your ram @ 500mhz if your fsb is @ 300 :? :?:
With that fsb oc you got there you might have as well used 533 or 667 ram?!

just checked and the memory should have actually been at 900. i had messed with the memory a little before the cpu. i will see what the ratio is at

thanks

i think you misunderstood me the fsb isnt 300 its 1200, the cpu frequency is set to 300 x 7

so the ram would need to be set to 1200 also?

thanks alot you have cleared alot of stuff up, if i was to try and get a 1:1 at stock ram speeds i would need a 1600 fsb right?

correct, check my sig, my c2d is @ 8*400 or 3200
my fsb is 4*400 or 1600mhz
my ram is stock (ddr2 800 or 400mhz) so i didn't even have oc my ram because i was shooting for 8*400.
