I put an asus radeon r7 240 2gd3 into m2v-tvm motherboard. I am using a 500W Chieftec PSU. The BIOS is not booting. I am using a brand new HDD. Why isn't it booting?

Hi sorry for the late response,

Make sure to check BIOS and set your primary video graphics to PCIE or whatever is not onboard/integrated graphics.

Also how did you get it to boot but no signal? Please tell us.

Also make sure your monitor is configured to use the DVI or VGA since some monitors offer the input selection option
If you try to boot the computer without the card or with an older graphics card, it boots properly?

Try pulling out the BIOS Battery from the motherboard and make sure to disconnect your computer from the wall outlet to ensure clearing the CMOS.

Do you hear any beeps or anything or does it turn on but makes no noise and does not POST?

With old card it says no signal that is why I bought a new card. We tried my friend's card in my mobo and it booted properly. But yeah, I can hear the old card booting,'just can't see anything. I hear the beep and Windows but no signal. The new card however does no beep signal everything is connected properly psu is enough using 1 memory stick doesnt work.

That is strange. Did you try resetting the BIOS yet?

Also, if you got extra time, try putting the R7 240 into a friends computer just to make sure it works.
Power shouldn't be an issue since this is the R7 240 we're talking about and it doesn't consume much power.

I took the CMOS battery out, will try againg because I'm not sure I did it properly. The new card worked in my friend's computer also my friend's card worked in my mobo so my mobo should not have any problem.
