Hi guys,
I am curious if this system may have issues or not in the Future?
I would like it to last at least 5 years before needing upgrades.
I built my current 2700x, 1080Ti system back in 2018 and feel it's time to move up a little and really enjoy Gaming at the next level.
Please let me know your thoughts. Good and bad. THANK YOU.

I think you can build as is.
some thoughts:

What kinds of games will you play?
for fast action games, the 3090 is about as good as it gets.
But at less than 4k resolution, a 3080 may well do the job just as well.

Most games will not use the 24 threads of the 5900X.
The exception will be multiplayer games with many participants.
You may find that a 5800X with 16 threads or a 5600X with 12 would play just as well.
They have similar single thread performance.
Run cpu-Z bench on your current 2700x.
You should get a single thread score around 498:

You are probably comfortable with the amd platform, but you could consider intel 12th gen which is today, a better gamer.

The supplied paste with Noctua NH-D15 is excellent. No need to change.

Love samsung, but there is little benefit from the PRO version.
970 evo+ might get you 2tb to start with.

I play MMOs, RPGs and mostly other great Story Single player Games. I am not into BR Games at all.
Interesting thoughts and info from posters above, thank you. :)

If your primary purpose is gaming then I'd be looking at the i7 12700F paired with a B660 board.
