Hello,
I am just starting out on my adventures of building a custom PC. I have already got a big tower with mid range gaming items such as i7-4770, gtx660 and 550w PSU but am wanting to upgrade/build a new PC. I first had the idea of removing my i7 and adding it to another mother board using the same cpu cooler (Zalman CNPS5X Performa). I am planning on using a Asus H81I-PLUS motherboard, and upgrading to a gtx 960 gpu. I would put all of this into a cooler master elite 130. Could someone give me a rough idea whether or not this would work/be any good.

Here's some of the ITX builds we have done at school. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2625445/build-log-consolidated-middle-school-builds.html

I would rather use a board with built-in WiFi, like the ASRock H97 ITX/ac used in three of those builds. The H87 chipset is a bit more modern. The Zalman cooler will not fir in that case, however.

Here's a set of parts that will work.

I also like the Thermaltake Core V1, if you like the size and the external DVD.
