any other builds that i can gain more??

thankyou

sli is using 2 or more nvidia cards in a same machine at a same time.....and crossfire is for amd cards they are same just names are different....

I could get you a single gpu instead? I could get you a 780 ti, cause I think single cards are more reliable and then I won't need to buy you a new power supply, also, you must remember not all games support dual cards very well

here's a crossfire 290

and this is a single gpu

Solution

I would personally wait for the 800 series to be released, because the sli 780 option I sent you before that was 95 pounds over budget? That will be below 1k, because when the new 800 cards are out, you can either get the 780's, as the price of them will drop since there are a new series, or, get sli 880, which are rumoured to be below 500 dollars and offer performance between the 780 and 780 ti, 500 dollars is roughly 325 pounds, so it would cost you 650 pounds to sli 880, a card that can perform better than a 780 and that leaves you with 350 pounds for a ssd, i5 and motherboard. But if you wanted just one build out of the 2 I selected, I prefer 780 ti, even though the crossfire does bring better performance in 1440p and 4k, I prefer the stability of a single card and not all games support dual cards so you may hae to wait for new drivers to be released etc to utilise the 2 cards. not to mention the increased power consumption and also heat generated from 2 cards

Yeah, then just get the nvidia build, cause even a 780 ti is overkill for 1080p ( 80fps), but r9 280x crossfire will give you like over 110fps on games on ultra, I'd suggest you get the 780 ti build, then with the 200 pounds odd left, get a 1440p monitor, taht way, you'll enjoy better graphics with the bigger res. Or you can get a ssd as well
