Thanks for taking the time to read this, I hate bothering you guys but i'm at the end of my rope with this one...

Here is the situation: i have a motorola surfboard cable modem, connected to a netgear mr814 wireless router, and my powermac g4 connected to the netgear. this seems to work alright and i can surf the internet much like i did without the router...

i need to connect my replay tv way over in the living room to the internet so i first purchased another mr814 for the living room but i couldn't figure out how to get it to connect. then i read something about soho routers won't bridge... i need an access point... so i went and got a usb access point... only it seems that the replay tv's usb port isn't powered, i plug it in, nothing, i plug it in my mac, at least the power comes on... so i go and get the linksys wap11 and all the drivers and configuration software is pc only...? I connected that to my netgear but i can't figure out how to access it at all? even with a cat5 cable running from the wap to the netgear router, it doesn't show it as part of the network..?

basically, can anybody possibly walk me through this?!?

thanks in advance... i appreciate any and all possible help regarding this... maybe in the meantime i'll just run a long ethernet cable across my living room...?

I think you're still barking up the wrong tree. What you need is a USB wireless NIC like this one
