newly built pc DVDs drive won't open

I recently built a computer and for some reason my newly installed Asus DVD drive won't open up. The SATA cable and power run through it because I can see the icon on my drive section. I've taken it to a friends house to test it out and it opens up on his pc , so I know that it's not faulty. All it does when I click the eject button is blink green for a few seconds. I've also tried ejecting from windows and nothing. Any suggestions would help me thanks.

The drive is faulty or your power supply is faulty. Just because it worked in your friend's PC doesn't mean it isn't faulty. Try your friend's disc drive in your PC to determine which part is faulty.

try another PSU or try to change cables.
