News and Interests keeps appearing in my Taskmanager

I have switched it off, it appears in my Taskmanager

Any solution?

Have you tried the highlighted solution here. The link should take you to the steps. Please keep in mind that editing your registry can and will cause your OS to go belly up...weirder things have happened and as such I'd advise you to back up your mission critical content.

i've seen it randomly for the last few years.

never takes up much, if any really, system usage and when choosing to "End task" it always goes away again for months at a time.

is there especially some reason why it bothers you;
taking up more resources than you'd like,
causing issues with running processes,
causing some other type of issues within the system, etc..?

doesn't make a difference in Windows 10.

these settings have always been off in my installations so nothing appears on the Taskbar, but this single process still randomly appears in Task Manager every so often using no resources whatsoever.

just some crap similar to the built-in Windows 11 garbage that never got implemented with as much voracity in 10.

Yes I turned off everything, in gpedit.msc too, it is still showing. It uses up to 100 MB
When i click on it, it says Microsoft Edge WebView
Maybe I need to do something to Edge?

i have manually deleted everything related to Edge multiple times, each time an update replaces them, and this instance still appears.

i do believe it is just a precursor to the similar Win11 junk that has been implemented, just without such an impact.

if you can find some way to totally remove these instances from continually occuring it will be cool, but i haven't through quite a few years of it.

If you right click a blank area of the taskbar do you see a news and interest option?

Also look in Task Scheduler: some other event or action may be triggering the reappearance.
