Next NVidia chip (NV20)

NVidia used to release a new chip every half year. So I thought new chip is due to this autumn. Is it postponed? Any chance it will appear this year? Any details on it?

There were no official words from nVidia but since they got the GeForce 2 Ultra out about the same time the NV20 should've been announced ( maybe a little earlier than that but still it was kinda stuck in the middle of the NV15's launch and the NV20's). A lot of people thought that nVidia was waiting for the final specs of DX8 before launching the NV20. Myself I think that they may have been working on too many things at the same time, hence a little more delay which was covered by the DX8 thing...
