I may have killed the board. Went to put in a different video card ( the
Leadtek 5900 "brick" ) and had problems getting it in so put a bit of
ptressure on then realised that the brick wouldn't fit. If you managed to
clear the memory clamps you were on top of the ide controllers. So removed
it and put the old card back in and all I managed to get is a continious
slow long loud beeping. Any ideas ?

The BIOS "beep" code indicates a memory error. Try reseating the
memory.
