nforce 570 sli chipset. Gimped?

So i just went Sli with two 8800 GTs... As i have been informed, my 570 sli chipset board only runs my second card at 8x? (which i was not aware of)

Just how big of a performance hit am i taking by this? Should i upgrade to a 590?

Im afraid its worse than that... they should both be running at 8x

This article at toms will give you an idea... from most benchies here the 8800GTS has little difference between 8x and 16x its only when you drop to 4x that you start having BAD ill effects.

Personally i dont think its worth upgrading it. I believe it will show little improvement, youd be best playing with what you have and waiting to see what the new year brings.
