NFS Carbon not working.

I was played nfs carbon in my old when i didnt even know that my old core 2 duo supported 64bit oses and i installed acopy of 64 bit windows 8 in 2012 and did not bother to playt nfsc anymore then after so many years when i went to nfsc in my new pc with 64bit windows 10 pro to refresh my memories i found that its just still working i was very happy and then i started playing the career mode and after the training session of using a wingman i was instructed to go my team memeber and to safe house and all that the scenes and then when the controls were handed over to me i found i found that the video audio and controls began to lag bit by bit and the game froze. what to do now??

You probably don't have the latest patches/updates installed for the game. I think the current one is Patch 1.4

i used the patch but still the same problem i found that before the game completely freezes there was area in bridge fully blank after that and the game froze
what to do??????????????
