NHL 2001 freezing

NHL 2001 continues to freeze at various points of the game and then return to windows, all of my specs match or are a bit higher than on the box, but it continues to freeze

Any common things that causes this?

Try updating your videocard drivers.

Try playing with 16 bit color.

Make sure your video settings in the game are compatable with your card.
