I will be building my first computer soon, and I will not be using an anti-static wrist watch.
I would just like to try to make some confirmations.
I heard that touching an unpainted portion of a metal case can remove static electricity. I have also heard of installing your power supply, plugging it into the wall, and keeping the switch on the PSU off.
My question is: Is the latter required? Do I need to install the PSU, plug it into the wall, and switch of the unit off?
That is my main concern, but any additional information of where to build, how to build avoiding static, and tendencies or items to avoid.
Thanks!
