No audio setup dv1000

Hello,
My HP Pavilion dv1000 having windows XP operatng system is not having volume control setup.i have intalled drivers from hp still it is not working!!!

did you turn off the anti virus when you installed the drivers?
turn off the anti virus and fire wall. install the drivers, restart, turn the anti virus and firewall back on.
delete the old drivers before installing the new ones.
