No boot/bios - Dead CPU?

I bought an Asrock AB350m Pro4 motherboard and paired it with an A8-9600 CPU. When I power on the PC, everything turns on but I get a black screen. No video from the onboard graphics or a 1060.

So I pulled a Ryzen 3 1200 from another PC to test and it boots.

Is the CPU dead?

It could be. Try RMA-ing it.

The AMD A8-9600 and the Asrock AB350m Pro4 combo , likes to start with just ONE ram stick !

So , reset bios ( remove battery , hold start button for 10 seconds , replace battery . or use on board jumper )
and put just one ram stick in slot A2 !
