I've built my system a month ago and it has been running fine until yesterday when the screen suddenly went black and the GPU fans started spinning so SO fast. Both the GPU and CPU temps were normal before the crash; they never exceeded 60c. This weird crash occurred twice since yesterday, only while gaming. Then I left the PC on Sleep Mode overnight and when I tried to use it again this morning the GPU was not working; no display and no RGB.
I reseated the GPU and now it is working, but I don't know if the original problem is fixed or not.
I've tried to stress test the GPU with Heaven Benchmark on max settings for half an hour and everything was ok, temp never exceeded 63c. I then tried FurMark for like 10 mins then and it was ok too.
Here are my system specs:
GPU: Gainward Ghost 3050 (Driver: 512.77)
CPU: i3-12100f stock cooler
Motherboard: Asus Prime H610M - K D4
RAM: Corsair Vengeance PRO 8 x 2 3200MHz (running at 2133 MHz at the time of the crash)
PSU: Corsair CV650 650W 80Plus Bronze
Event Viewer errors:
1:
Provider: Microsoft Windows Kernel Power
ID: 41
Description: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
I believe this one occurred because I hard-restart my PC after the crash
2:
Provider: Microsoft Windows WHEA Logger
ID: 1
Description: A fatal hardware error has occurred. A record describing the condition is contained in the data section of this event.
