Hi,I've bought a new gpu after not using my pc for 2 months. The pc started,no image output and after 10 seconds it would turn off.Ive change the PSU....Now the pc just starts,no image still.Tried different monitors, still nothing.

Hello, Dany:

1. Could you tell us the name/brand of the GPU?
2. Could you tell us a bit more about your PC?

You've replaced the PSU and done testing with other monitors. Since your PC starts but doesn't produce any video it would seem the problem lies with your new GPU, or possibly a RAM malfunction.

Make sure the GPU is seated properly in the socket. Be careful, but do this until you're absolutely sure it has clicked in place.

You could also remove your RAM modules, and test your system using 1 module at a time. I'm assuming you have at least 2 RAM modules.

Make sure to hold on to a piece of metal, e.g. the kitchen faucet, to reduce as much static as possible.

IF you had a different graphics card installed previously you may not have removed the driver for it. For that, try this sequence.
1. Shut down and disconnect from the wall. Open the case and remove the new graphics card.
2. Re-install your old graphics card in the PCIe slot and connect the cable to your monitor. Ensure the cad has its power supply cable connected if it needs one. Close up, plug into the wall, and turn it on. Hopefully the system will boot properly.
3. IF it does boot this way, go into Device Manger and find the Display Adapter section. Find the video card there. Right-click on that and Remove and Delete that driver. This removes the old driver.
4. NEXT, look through Device Manger for SOUND devices again and find the driver for the sound system on your old card. There will also be a sound device on your mobo, probably Realtek. For the VIDEO card sound unit only, remove and delete that driver also. FYI, almost all video cards have their own sound output chip to feed sound to your monitor via the HDMI cable and your new card will have its own. Back out of Device Manager and shut down. Do NOT reboot right now.
4. Again disconnect power and swap back to the new video card, then re-connect. Ensure it has whatever power supply cable is needed connected to it.
5. Close up and reconnect to power. Boot up. Hopefully the system will boot into a basic display mode, then discover a new device (the new card) and find and load a driver for that so it can use the new card properly. It should also load a driver for the video card's sound system.
6. After this is working you can consider looking for the latest device drivers for your new card. Check with the video card maker for BOTH device drivers. You can use the Update feature in Device Manager to change to the latest drivers.
7. IF you were using sound from speakers in your monitor, you do not need this step. But if your sound was being fed from the speaker sockets on the back panel of your mobo, you were NOT using the video card's sound system before, but it may be set that way now because of the new installation. So you won't get sound from the mobo sockets. In the bottom left search window type in sounds and look in the system sound settings. You should find a place to select exactly which devices are used for the default sound output and the default sound recording functions. For output in particular, you will find both the system on your mobo and the one on your video card. Set it to use whichever you are plugged into for sound output - either the mobo sockets to speakers, or the video card feed via the HDMI cable to your monitor. Back out and your sound should work.

It doesn't work with the old GPU.Im buying a new gpu,or maybe use iGPU for a month.Still, thanks for the help everyone
