No internet connection. Ipv4

So I just got a used laptop of of someone I know. I manged to fix the display issues but now I run into wifi issues. It shows me as connected but when I go into properties its saying my Ipv4 has no internet connection. I dont really know alot about internet and how to fix this issue so any help would be great. Its an Hp dv6 if that helps any.

If you are working on a used system, first step would be to wipe the thing to factory defaults or with a Windows disk. You don't know how the setup of Windows is running or if there are any other issues with the system.

Check back once you install the drivers and if it does not work even after a clean setup.
