Hi there,

As of today, I have no audio on my laptop. The backpack that was carrying it fell out of the back of the car yesterday when I opened the trunk. Someone packed it badly. I don't know if that's what's causing the problem.

I want to try to rule out software issues.

I looked in the settings, I don't see anything that could cause the audio to not be working.
I tried running the troubleshooter, it says "Audio Services not responding" and that it was unable to fix the issue.

Laptop: Razor Stealth
4 cores, 8 threads, 2.8 ghz

Windows 11 (came with Windows 10)

Audio: Realtek Audio Codec with spatial sound

I managed to fix it, there was an option somewhere under System -> Sound -> Settings

Right-click on bottom-right: Sound Settings => Click on Speakers

There was something called "Audio Enhancements", it was set to "Device Default Effects"
I set it to Off, and everything worked again.

Normally, we have this laptop connected to a TV, and that TV has its audio routed to some external speakers, so maybe in that setup these settings work, I dunno. We're travelling right now, so that's not our set up. I'll have to try it again on the TV at home sometime just to see.
