no newsgroups in help and support

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support (More info?)

When i go to help and support, then click on, Windows XP Newsgroups, i go to
Welcome to Support, but there is nothing on the left side were" Ask a friend
to help" and "Go to a Windows Web site Forum" should be, nothing at all on
that left side.

I would try a Repair, or Upgrade setup of XP.
If you run an XP "Upgrade"setup, from the original, or "Gold" version of the setup CD, and you have SP2 installed, it might go into
a setup loop, and you could lose your install.
Uninstall SP2, BEFORE you Upgrade setup from CD (that lacks sp2 on it.)
