Hello, I recently upgraded from a gtx 970 to a gtx 1060 6gb. I have played a few games and ran a benchmark and there is no improvement. What should i do?
PC SPECS:
i5 6600
16gb ddr4 memory
gtx 1060 6gb

The 1060 is only marginally faster than a 970. The biggest change would be the VRAM being 2GB larger. As far as speed, it is only ~10% faster, if that. You probably wouldn't be noticing much improvement. This was more of a lateral move than an upgrade.

I am making assumptions about drivers and such, but as above.

To add to what @punkncat said, generally speaking if you're upgrading your video card, at least with NVIDIA, you don't want to go to a lower SKU number if you're jumping to the next generation because the relative performance tends to be the same or worse. You'll need to go at least two generations for any appreciable improvements.
