Just assembled a new box with the ASUS P5AD2-E Deluxe Motherboard, Pentium 4
570 3.8 Ghz, using Antec NeoPower and OCZ DDR2 memory. So all top shelf
components, all brand new. I am not a novice, and have double checked
connections many times. I used the PowMax power supply tester and the
Antec Power Supply tests out ok.
When I turn on power, the power and HD LED lights just momentarily - like
once for 1/10th of a second. There are no beeps at all and flash codes.
If I had a say a memory error, or cpu error, vga error, keyboard error,
etc - I would expect at least a beep code. Any suggestions as to most
likely culprit and order to diagnose ? (I dont have a spare motherboard,
PCI-E graphics card, or DDR2 memory to just pop in and see where the issue
is - so I would be making multiple trips to return and replace components.)
Thanks for any suggestions.
