Hi everyone,

I've had a perfectly working computer for over 5 years now. Recently when going into sleep the comp would not wake up. I had to manually reset the power supply in the back, then it would boot. To the point where I just turned off the sleep function.

There was a storm last night and we lost power now when I try to power on there is no reaction at all from the computer. On my motherboard evga 780i I see a blue light . When I hit the power on button at the front of the case I get a yellow light on the mobo but nothing happens.

Is this a hard drive/power supply/mobo issue? I stopped pc gaming and this comp was more than adequate for day to day even though it's older. Not thrilled about building new.

thanks for the help.

wow pretty embarrassing. searching the web i came across some threads about resetting cmos. I look at my jumpers. they're coated in dust. blew them clean and she fired right up. relieved...
