No power on/off button connector on mobo

My new motherboard is the ASUS p8z68-v/gen 3 and i am having troubles finding where i plug in my power on/off connector on the motherboard. There are no connectors on the motherboard that support the holes that are on my power on/off button. My power on/off button that needs to connect to the motherboard looks like this ......
.... . It has 6 holds on the top row, and on the bottom row it has 4 holes with a space, and the n 1 hole.

you need to look at your mobo manual. On the bottom right of the board there is a large white pin block. Those pins are the connectors for the power switch, reset switch, power led, and status, led. Chances are there is even a system speaker set of pins as well.

The power switch is always 2 pins. Look at your case and trace back the wire from the switch. It will be a 2 pin wire. All you need to is plug it in. The reset swtich and the leds are the same way.

You will need the manual because some times they are not labeled on the board, or if they are labled the print is to small to read.

On your board the blue pin bank is for the USB connector. Chances are you are mixing up the internal USB conenctor on the case with the power switch.

What case do you have? Be assured, thst your MB does have the right connections, they might just be in a different layout than the case manufacturer expected. This stuff is supposed to be pertty well standardized by now - I guess not.

I know, it does not make sence either. Im still awaiting my new chasis, but my latest computer i have is only 7 months old, so you think it would have the connector on my new mobo. And yes, the picture above is the one of my new mobo. Do i have to move the cables around on my power on/off connector?

The case cables/connectors should be labeled and you have to arrange them to match whatever layout is described in the motherboard manual/silkscreen/stub-connector if you want them to work as expected.

I have not recieved the new case yet, ill be getting it this comming week. I know it will come with connectors that work. In the meantime, ill just use the onboard on/off switch to turn my computer on and off.
