No sata hard drive in bios but show in windows xp

I've got 2 harddrives. The one that works with sata can't be picked up in bios but do see it in windows. Don't know to much about this type of thing. It's not the jumpers and had taken pc in to 2 different computer shops and they also don't know what problem is.

So you have 2 HDDs. One is SATA and the other PATA (I assume). Is this correct?

What make and model of motherboard do you have? Also, are you running Windows XP SP3 and the most current BIOS for your motherboard?

Last, does your system seem to operate normally (sees both HDDs)?
