When i try to wake PC from sleep, the fans start spinning but the display and peripherals don't get any signal.

I changed the ram slots being used, At first the issue was solved.

But now it is happening again. Not always, but many times.

It it matters, the cpu is an i7 2nd gen, with a Q67 chipset and WIN 10.

Could it be OS or driver issue?? Cuz i am using drive from old laptop, without reinstalling windows.

Therein lies your issue.

Not reinstalling windows will result in 1 of 3 things.

1. It will work fine
2. It won't work at all.
3. It works, but has so many issues that you will chase your tail to figure out even the most simple of problems.

You know what you need to do.

Edit: if it's not clear to you what you should do, it's simple. Re-install Windows and be done with it.

Will updating windows be enough? (Update in progress, so let's see what happens)

Aside from that, if I do have to reinstall windows

Is there a way to keep my currently installed programs (and maybe settings). I think i have seen such an option before, but i am not sure if it is possible.

This should help.
