Hi,
I just visited a friend who needed help building his pc. It wasnt starting he said. It didn't take too long for me to realize that he had put the processor incorrectly in the socket of the motherboard.
Result: the edges of the processor were bent.
I placed the processor the right way and we tried booting it, now it actually started. But monitor had no signal.
Knowing that bad ram connection could be the problem made me try placing them properly in the sockets. Still no signal.
My question: Is it the processor or the ram that is making the monitor get no signal?
seeing how the processor were somewhat broken, that's my guess. But i dont know if no signal on monitor is result of a faulty processor.
Thanks for the help. :)

tried with dvi, vga and hdmi, with connecting it to both motherboard and gpu. :/

Have you look at the motherboard or Cpu to see if its damage?

If its...

Intel - Look at the motherboard and is any of the pins broken or bent?

AMD - look at the Cpu and is any of the pins broken or bent?

Edit:
Try a few of these first::

  • Make sure all the cables are connected properly
Try removing the gpu and seeing if it works?
Take one stick out at a time to see if it works
