No sound help!

Hey guys, I just got my computer built and can't seem to figure out why I have no sound output coming out of my computer. I have tried using both speakers and headphones but neither seem to work.

My Sound card is being recognized in the device manager as AMD High Definition Audio device and Realtek high definition audio.

My mobo is an Asus P8Z77V-LX and is brand new. All the drivers are up to date.

Not sure how you're connecting, but I had to manually set mine to use the optical port in the Realtek manager.

what do you see when you access the playback devices?

assuming you are using a windows product you can easily access this buy right clicking the speaker icon on your taskbar and select "Playback devices"
