NO SOUND XP

Hello,
speaker icon disappeared, no sound XP

Check Sound and audio in Control panel .See if it's muted. See if the Show volume icon.... is checked
See if Playback device is grayed out.

Start>run>msconfig>services
See if Windows audio is started
Go to your computer manufacturer site and download the audio driver, or write back your exact pc model and we'll see.
