Hi all,
My rig used to work seamlessly. since I built it in 2021 It remained in storage for 6 months or so and a few days ago I took it out and replaced the old radeon RX480 with a brand new MSI RX6650XT
Since then I have experienced random VGA signal loss (3-4 seconds) that would restore by itself or after I unplugged and plugged back the HDMI cable. Other than that the VGA card seemed to work fine. After a few days of this the pc won't boot and the VGA error led on the m/b stays on although the VGA fans are spinning.
I have tried so far reseating VGA card and the RAM modules, switching PCIe and RAM slots and removing the CMOS battery without results.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

MSI B550-A Pro

Howdy,

After reading, my first thought is maybe the VGA port on the card is dead.

Typically, that is what happens when the port dies.

Let me know if I can help any further.

Have a nice day.
