[SOLVED] No video input on monitor even if it's plugged in good

I have a Philips monitor that always worked, but two days ago it stopped working. I have tried plugging it in again, changing the sideos of the cable and it didn't work. Something interesting that I found is that when I pluged my pc in the tv that was in the other room it worked, so it's not the cable. But when Inswapped the tv and got my monitor next to the tv and plugged it in how I would at my desk, it worked. This is very weird and I can't explain it.

I would all around switch the cable out and see if possibly the cable has a short in it, if that doesn't work, you may try using a different port on display card or motherboard. If it seems to work fine on the tv my guess would be that the monitor is dying.
