Noctua NH-D14 Passive Mode

Hey, Im planning to buy the Noctua NH-D14 and I'm aiming for a quiet system. I was wondering if I could run the 3770k off D14 in passive mode.

If I overclock ill do a small one of 4.0Ghz. I may not be able to run the OC'd 3770k using D14 in passive. My question is if the extra 500Mhz will make a difference.

If not, can you guys tell me any cooler that can cool 3770k passive? I'm trying to save some cash.

OC3D (tinytimlogan) did a passive build, with a i5 2500 chip, it might work, but i wouldn't reccomend overclocking with passive cooling, especially ivy bridge, and im not sure if it will even work, but the i5 2500 pulls more power

it's probably a better option to put a fan on it, the noctua fans are pretty quiet as it is

I have the NH-D14 myself. It's a really great CPU cooler. What I really don't like about it is how noisy the 140mm fan is.

Edit: Okay, not saying that it's REALLY noisy, I just think Noctua should have just used another 120mm fan instead.
