hey guys im in need of some help. i have my computer build for long term . It runs about 18hrs out of the day. currently have the nh d14 on it but I HATE THE LOOKS OF IT!!!!!!! i love its performance but aesthetics are horrible. I was looking at the h80 because a big radiator like h100 wont fit in my fractal r4 case(ive tried)

Is it worth the switch? i have a side window on my case and you can see this massive cooler and these ugly tan/brown fans when the rest of my components are black and white only!!!! help me!!!

Solution
Well if that's the case then the H-80 will certianly do the job and give you very good cooling for your cpu. It should work better than the Noktua D14 for cooling power.
There are a few options that you can consider. Now you've stated that you love the performance of the Noctua but can't stand the looks and will go so far as to but an expensive closed loop cooler.
The first option I have for you is a lot less then the Cosair cooler and that is to buy two replacement fans for those ugly brown and tan fans and by doing that you would get to choose the fans your getting.

You could go with a 120mm and 140mm like Noctua has and select these two.

Naturally the choices are endless as there are a ton of fans to choose from. The next optioon would be to go ahead and get the H-80 or the H-70 depending on your overclocking if you are doing that.
You can also get white fans too.

those fans where actually the exact ones i was planning to upgrade to eventually. the thing is i dont like having this HUGE heatsink. the h80 attracts me because its clean sup alot of the interior of my case. I could throw in any size RAM sticks and not worry. i had my eye on upgrading my ram to the new dominator platinum to match my z77 sabertooth board better. the open feel appeals me much more than this huge air cooler.

any ideas?
