Hey guys,

I have recently purchased a Intel core i9 9900k and i am looking for an air cooler. After hours of mind numbing toil i have shortlisted 2 cpu coolers :

1. Noctua nh-d15

2. Dark rock pro 4

However i have not able to find a true comparison between them. Could you guys please suggest which one should i buy.

Thanks

NH-D15 is probably a bit stronger and quieter.
but either will do the job.

One caveat: It is a big cooler and can have issues with graphics cards mounted in the first pcie slot and can be impacted by ram with tall heat spreaders.
It is 165mm tall if that matters.
Check the specs on the noctua web site for exact dimensions.
As an alternative, the NH-D15s has been redesigned for better compatibility.
It is 160mm tall. At a similar price, that would be my choice.
The Noctua mounting system is simple and secure.

The DRP4 pro is 163mm tall, and looks to me to impact tall ram heat spreaders.
Reviews say the mounting system is not good.

Noctua nh-d15 then. Reason being i am inclined more towards quality and performance. Thanks a lot brother for your time. :)

Noctua is slightly better (like 1-2 degrees) , but it's not significant difference.

At my place, Dark Rock Pro 4 is about 80EUR, Noctua about 100, so simple choice.
If Dark Rock is 20% cheaper, go for it. (and it looks better)
