noisy geforceti4600 fan

Hello, I bought about a year and a half ago with a geforce ti4600. Over the last couple months, the fan has become noisy, making this kinda scratchy sound as it turns. I've noticed that if i shut down the computer, wait about a half an hour, and turn it back on, the noise goes away. But after a couple hours of running, the noise comes back. Nowadays, it seems to be almost permamently making noise. If i touch the fan case, it seems really hot. Does this mean that my graphics card is going to overheat and die? Should I replace the fan (I would like the noise to go away - is there any way to fix this?)?

The fan's bearing is probably dying, you could find some cheap Geforce4 cooling solution from Thermaltake.

Maybe you can try the Iceberg. It's relatively cheap, I think a bit more than US$10, so it should be okay.

And yea, definitely try what Wusy suggested first. WD40 also saved my sanity with my moaning gfx fan.

Oh yeah forgot about that, try to clean the fan first with compressed air.
