I know this is a ridiculous question but is there a way to download nordvpn on a mac osx 10.7.5? if not is it possible to some how teather the connection from that mac osx 10.7.5 to a device running the nordvpn?

NordVPN supports the OpenVPN protocol. You could try an OpenVPN connector. NordVPN offers configuration profiles for TunnelBlick. I've included the Tunnelblick and generic OpenVPN settings. Just in case the NordVPN Tunnelblick settings are for newer versions of Tunnelblick only. There's probably other OpenVPN connectors. That's just the first I came across and it was linked to by the University of Cambridge. Which sounds like a reliable source for a referral.

Failing that. You should be able to use Internet Connection Sharing to share your VPN from a newer computer. The steps depend on the OS of the newer computer.
