Copied my hd to an identical Seagate 160gb drive. All files are identical when viewed in my computer. The clone will not boot up when installed as master and the original drive removed. Message saye "a disk read error occurred". Symantec won't get back to me although they say an email comes in 2-3 days. It's a week. Should I get a boot up disc and try to work with it from that? Stumped!

What version of ghost are you using?
Did you update it before you ran it?
Did you use IDE or USB connection?

If you still have the disk you want to clone, just clone it again, and be sure you do every step correctly.

When you switch disks did you check motherboard settings?

Used Ghost 9.0, installed and registered it before cloning. It's selling cheap on the net since 10.0 is now out. I set up destination drive on grey connector of ide cable, source drive as master, both jumpers cable select. To try to boot it I removed source drive and put new drive in master position. Won't boot. Do I really have to change anything on motherboard if cloned drive is master and only drive connected?
