Question not enough juice for 1440p?

Hello all, recently I just acquired my first 1440p monitor, the LG 27GL83A-B.

Before that I've had a 240hz 1080p monitor and thought with a RTX 3080 I should upgrade.

Although it appears whenever I stream, performance plummets in-game with the 1440p. As soon as I hit the go live button it feels as if the monitor is in 60hz and gsync turned off. Could the 3080 not handle single pc streaming with a 1440p monitor? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

My Specs:
Intel i7-9700k @ 4.3GHz
NVIDIA RTX 3080
32GB RAM @ 4000MHzz

I also have a 2nd monitor that is a 144Hz but I run it at 60Hz. I know I've read having monitors with different refresh rates can cause issues while streaming, but this is not a factor when I was streaming with my 1080p monitor @ 240hz.

Using the CPU or GPU for your video capture?

I would think the 3080 would breeze through 1440p with the nvenc encoder.

yeah sorry i probably should've listed my OBS settings, it is using NVENC (new) with 5500 bitrate, base canvas 2560x1440, output 1536x864
