not enough vram

guys help, when i first played the gta5 before my driver update i had like almost 4000mb of vram ,but now that i update my amd driver to the adrenaline version and went to play the game the vram was reduced to like 1000mb what is the problem?? i have 2 gb of AMD graphic card, did my graphic card stopped working?

Could you post some info about your computer.

If your video card has 2GB (2000MB) of RAM then it cannot have 4000MB of VRAM.
If you have an integrated graphics chip, it utilizes a percentage of the system's RAM, which varies depending on the size of the task.
Some manufactures allow to manually dedicate certain amount of system RAM.

ohhh about the vram i think it was like you said it must be part from the ram

this is my specs:

Microprocessor: AMD Quad-Core A10-9600P (2.4 GHz, up to 3.3 GHz, 2 MB cache)
Memory, standard: 4 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB)
Video graphics: AMD Radeon™ R7 M340 Graphics (2 GB DDR3 dedicated)

Updater your BIOS.
Make sure to install the drivers from HP website

Maybe the game is using integrated graphics vram pool?

Try enabling maximum performance power mode.
