I have an Acer Nitro 5, i5-8300h ,1TB HDD. Today i bought an nvme m.2 installed it and cloned it (with windows 10). While booting my pc from the bios (by the way my bios has only uefi mode no "legacy"), in the boot option it is not showing my ssd only showing windows...something. What should i do now?

Windows boot manager? When you select it, do you still boot off the old drive?

A lot of BIOS' show the boot manager, opposed to the name of the drive you expect to see.

What, exactly did you close? And how? Did you close all partitions? If you only cloned the 'C' drive, then the drive cannot boot from it

yes, i do still boot off the hdd. My laptop has a dedicated slot for nvme m.2. I have followed a youtube video on cloning. And they have cloned only the C drive to ssd. That's what did too! I even tried to boot removing the hdd. it shows "no bootable device found" although my ssd is inside the pc.

Can you please provide me proper instructions to do it?

If you only cloned the C drive, I can promise you, it will not boot.

I would highly suggest a clean OS install but, if you merely want to clone..... which program are you using? The exact instructions will vary depending on the program.
The general idea is the same though - clone all partitions on the drive.
