Question Not Sure If My Laptop Supports NVME?

Hi guys,
I have a MSI GS73VR 7RF STEALTH PRO and I currently have a regular M.2 Sata SSD in it and was wanting to upgrade to a larger one and was wondering if a NVME drive would work in it? I know they have different connectors but am wondering if it is backwards compatible?

On the product page it says 1x M.2 SSD Combo (NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4 / SATA ) in the storage column but wanted to double check if anyone had similar success with this laptop? I'm just abit confused by it
