I got this videocard for christmas it is a Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri X Tri-X OC Version (UEFI) now that being said I play games like wildstar and starwars the old republic and movies and such, while i was watching netflix, my card just flickered out both of my screens, then nothing, it does this every time, It works fine on bootup, it works fine everywhere else but windows desktop, I did a system restore same issue, It works in safemode perfectly, i then took the card out and put my old one back in and it that card works fine, i put my new one back in and its the same problem, not sure why, any ideas?

Whenever I have issues with a Graphics Card, I first make sure that the drivers are up to date. Weirdly enough, having out-of-date drivers can cause more problems than most people would believe. If it is up to date, hook your monitor up to Integrated Graphics on the motherboard and uninstall the drivers on the card, then reinstall them. Check if that solved your problem. You might also want to take a look at it to check if there is any physical damage to the card that is visible. If not, take a good smell of the card while it is under load and check to make sure that it does not smell like burning plastic or rubber. I've had cards burn on me like that several times.

Yep they were to date i installed the new ones 9 days ago, the same drivers are the ones i downloaded i just checked, my board has no integrated graphics sadly, there is no plug in for it, i didnt smell any burning plastic or rubber nor do i see any visable damage on the card it self,

forgot to add into the thing, I had stuck in my old card and unstallled them and plugged my new card back in i reinstalled the drivers... it worked fine up till i installed them,

so i am at a loss, the card was fine for days and now the drivers are causing the issue? or am i missing something, sorry this is the first time i have ever seen this its the weirdest thing ever

It's been a good amount of time, I've had problems that go away the next day and stuff like that, do you still need help here? If you do, did you check that there is no physical damage?
