its £33 and i was wondering weather its too good to be true, though reading the review it sounds legit enough, im just wondering if its up to 24/7 use or weather i need a more expensive one, i would go with a server PSU but it is out of the question with a standard ATX case

also apparently its mean time between failure is 11 years? is this common for PSU's of this price range, it seems to me to either be a complete lie or utterly extraordinary

It's not common among budget PSUs. But it's not so outrageously wrong you could call it a lie. You might call it optimistic. And suspect that it applies more to ideal conditions in a controlled laboratory than a consumers home.

24/7 and light power draw is an easy workload for a PSU. That type of workload would have the best chance of meeting that MTBF statistic, barring electrical surges, lightning strikes and other outside factors that could damage any PSU.
